About ยท methodologyTrust & methodology
NEO is built for UK workplaces. This page explains what we draw on, how we keep it current, and what NEO will never do.
Source base
- Equality Act 2010 and EHRC Employment Code of Practice
- ACAS guidance on neurodiversity at work
- NICE NG87 (ADHD) and CG142 (autism in adults)
- gov.uk โ Access to Work, reasonable adjustments
- NHS England Right to Choose framework
- UK GDPR โ special-category data handling
Inclusive-design rules
Every NEO answer follows Doc 04 Inclusive Design Standards: plain UK English, โค20 words per sentence, one question per turn, progressive disclosure, strengths-based framing, and a one-line summary at the end.
Review cadence
Every knowledge-base document carries a Reviewed on date and a named reviewer. We re-check legal and clinical content every six months, and immediately when UK statute or NICE guidance changes.
What NEO will not do
- Diagnose any condition
- Prescribe or recommend medication
- Give legal advice on a specific case
- Process special-category data without consent
- Replace a person โ there is always a human path
Data & privacy
Information about neurodivergence is special-category data under UK GDPR. Chats are stored against your account so you can return to them; only you and the NEO admin team can read them, and the admin team only reads them for safety and quality review.
